Bangkok Bank unveils Thai conversational AI engine

It has achieved a 96% accuracy rate, based on internal tests by the bank.

Bangkok Bank will be launching its conversational AI engine, TT01, touted as the first advanced Thai conversational AI engine built in-house by a bank, according to a press release.

The engine was jointly developed by Bangkok Bank’s innovation program, InnoHub, and Singapore-based fintech startup Development began earlier in 2020 and was completed in October.

Dr Pao Sriprasertsuk, head of Bangkok Bank Innovation Department, shared the results of the bank’s internal test that shows TT01 having achieved an accuracy rate of 96%. TT01 is also trained to process mixed-use language in Thai and English, as well as emoticons, both of which are commonly used in daily text-based communications.

The solution will be available to clients of, and Bangkok Bank will use this as a digital sales assistant on LINE for their sales and relationship managers, scheduled to launch in Q1 2021.
