Alessandro Magarini Montenero is a partner based in Bain & Company’s Singapore office. He focuses on Financial Services.

Alessandro has experience advising clients in Banking, Insurance, Asset Management and Fintech. His expertise spans across strategy, transformation, customer experience and performance improvement with a particular focus on developing markets.

He holds a Master of Science in Corporate Finance from Bocconi University in Milan.

Willy Chang is an associate partner based in Bain & Company’s Singapore office. He focuses on Bain’s Private Equity and Digital practices.

His expertise spans a range of internet economy sectors in Southeast Asia, including e-Commerce, on-demand platforms, FinTech, amongst others.

Prior to joining Bain in 2014, Willy spent 7 years as a researcher in Quantum Computing.

He holds an PhD in Physics from Harvard University and a BA from Columbia University.

Mr Kevin Lam is the Head of TMRW and Group Digital Banking at UOB. He leads the strategy for the Bank’s overall Digital Banking initiatives and oversees the roll-out of TMRW, UOB’s digital bank for ASEAN’s digital generation, in its key markets across the region. TMRW launched in its first market, Thailand, in March 2019, and subsequently in Indonesia in August 2020.

Kevin has been with UOB since 2005 and served various senior positions including Managing Director and Head of Personal Financial Services in UOB Malaysia from 2011 to 2013 and Deputy CEO of UOB Malaysia from 2013 to 2015. He was most recently the President Director of UOB Indonesia in 2015 until September 2020, when he took on his current role.

Kevin had worked for several large international foreign banks and technology companies in Singapore, USA, and Hong Kong for more than a decade before joining UOB Group. In his 25 years of experience in the banking industry, he has held a range of positions in the areas of strategic planning, business management, product development, sales and distribution, technology and banking infrastructure development and other areas of corporate services.

Mr. Ortmanns is working for I.R.I.S. since 15 years. Since 5 years his responsibility is to develop the I.R.I.S.’ business in the APAC market. Based upon his Master of Arts in Politics, Linguistics and Philosophy Mr. Ortmanns worked at the beginning of his career 7 years for different companies as Executive Consultant, Data Analyst and Software Developer.

Gary joins us as Chief Technology Officer from Morgan Stanley where he was Executive Director, Head of Digital and Platform Architecture for Private Wealth Management business, and prior to that he served as Head of Program Management and leading Agile Transformation (APAC) for major banks including HSBC and JP Morgan.

Gary brings 20 years of experience in leading large IT teams across APAC and various projects in Fintech products, including Trade Finance platform powered by blockchain, Wechat banking for corporate customers and international trade tracking app.

With more than 20 years of banking experience, Jimmy has held leadership positions in a wide variety of subject matters. At UOB, he headed Macro and Markets Research, Investor Relations and Credit Rating. In 2017, Jimmy joined the Group Wholesale Banking Sector Solutions Group (SSG) as part of the Bank’s transformative initiative. Jimmy helmed and institutionalized both insights and data analytics to enable sectoral strategies. SSG develops solutions by leveraging on industry insights and data analytics of value chains, ecosystems and connectivity across the region.

In his role as UOB TMRW Digital Group (TDG) Chief Commercialisation Officer (CCO) Jimmy is responsible to drive TDG strategy, business growth and market share across ASEAN, ensuring that all functions of TDG are aligned to meet UOB TMRW’s strategic commercial objectives.
