Bank of China HK warns of fake website
It has already been reported to the HKMA and the local police force.
Bank of China (Hong Kong) or BOCHK has cautioned its customers of a fraudulent website with the URL bnkbochk[.]com.
BOCHK declared that they have no connection to the website, and said that it has been reported to the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) and the Hong Kong Police Force.
Customers are warned that the fake website may have stolen their customers’ data if they input their internet banking number, user name, and password.
BOCHK said that any customer who has logged into the aforesaid fraudulent website and provided personal information should immediately contact BOCHK Customer Service Hotline at (852) 3988 2388.
Customers are advised to access BOCHK’s internet banking and mobile banking accounts through the bank’s official website address, www.bochk.com, or through the BOCHK mobile application downloaded from official app stores.
Users are also warned not to access their accounts or provide personal information through hyperlinks, QR codes or attachments embedded in e-mails or on websites.
