Bernhard Kotanko
Bernhard Kotanko is a Senior Partner at McKinsey & Company, based in Hong Kong. He leads their insurance work in Asia, serving financial services companies across Asia-Pacific, mainly in Greater China, Singapore, India, Australia, Indonesia, Japan, and Korea.
Over the past 18 years, Bernhard has been advising insurance clients globally across the full spectrum of strategy, operations, capital, and risk management. He is the co-author of various articles on the broader life insurance agenda, product innovation, customer experience, and distribution, as well as a regular speaker at insurance industry and company conferences.
Prior to joining McKinsey, Bernhard was a Partner at Oliver Wyman where he led the EMEA Insurance Practice and then the Asia-Pacific Region. He graduated from Harvard Business School and the Vienna School of Business Administration.
