Toh Su Mei exits ANEXT Bank; Kai Qiu is new CEO

Ant International in the process of rolling out credit solutions for Thai MSMEs.

Toh Su Mei is leaving ANEXT Bank.

In a LinkedIn Post, Ant International CEO Peng Yang announced Toh’s exit from helming the Singapore-based digital bank.

Kai Qiu, currently deputy CEO and CTO of ANEXT Bank, will take on the position as designated CEO, Yang said.

Yang hailed Toh’s leadership as pivotal to making ANEXT Bank “a regional leader in digital SME financing.”

“We thank Su Mei for her contribution and commitment,” Yang said.

Yang also expressed confidence in Qiu’s appointment, which he said, “will lead the team onto a path of greater growth.”

In a separate LinkedIn post, ANEXT Bank’s new CEO Qiu said that he is “honored to lead the next chapter.”

“I am also deeply grateful to Peng Yang and the Board for their trust and confidence in me to lead the bank forward,” Qiu wrote.

“With the extraordinary talent of our team and the solid foundation built by Sumei, I am confident we will continue to achieve great things together. Here’s to a future of innovation, growth, and making a difference in the lives of our customers,” he said.

Meanwhile, Ant International is in the process of rolling out digital credit solutions for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Thailand.
