NAB invests $55m to upgrade over 100 branches across Australia
About 82 of the branches upgraded are in regional Australia.
National Australia Bank (NAB) has upgraded 100 branches across Australia since October 2024.
82 of these branches are in regional Australia. An additional 47 upgraded branches are due by October, bringing NAB’s total investment to $55m.
Upgrades included transforming the spaces into modern, welcoming hubs designed for deeper conversations and stronger community ties, the Australian bank said in a statement on 30 July 2025.
NAB retail executive Paul Carter said that the upgrades are a “deliberate move” to restore belief in the value of retail banking.
“These upgrades are about making banking easier, more personal, and more connected to the communities we serve. We see branches as community anchors, and we know that when it comes to major financial decisions, many people still want to sit down and talk to someone they trust,” Carter said.
