Jidong Chen
Dr. Jidong Chen is General Manager of ZOLOZ, the Trusted Identity Platform of Ant Group, where he is responsible for research and development, as well as application of biometric identification.
Dr. Chen leads a team at Ant Group that applied biometric technology to the identity and authentication use cases for hundreds of millions of Alipay and MYbank users. He also led a team that applied “Smile to Pay” technology to the KFC chain of restaurants, a project which was selected as one of 2017’s breakthrough technology in MIT Technology Review.
Before joining Ant Group, Dr Chen was Chief Data Scientist at Renren Games and the head of data analytics at EMC Labs China, where he was responsible for research and advanced development projects in data management and analytics.
Jimmy Kwang
Jimmy Kwang was appointed as Regional Vice President of Sales for Asia at Talend in January 2020. Jimmy is responsible for driving regional business development and growth, including expanding Talend's partner ecosystem, and will be reporting to Stu Garrow, Senior Vice President of Sales and General Manager, APAC.
Jimmy brings more than 30 years of industry experience in developing and managing complex and dynamic business environments, from enterprise cloud adoption to big data analytics to automation to artificial intelligence and blockchain.
Prior to joining Talend, Jimmy served as Country Manager, Data, AI, and Cloud solutions at IBM Singapore, where he developed effective go-to-market business models, drove high-performance teams, and augmented productive ecosystems. Over the last three years, he has worked alongside government agencies to create awareness of the impact of digitalization on the future of work. Jimmy spent over 20 years with IBM, where he held multiple leadership roles from General Manager Malaysia for cloud software & solutions to Country Manager for the business partner organization in Singapore. He started
his career as an Industrial Engineer in a manufacturing facility. Jimmy speaks regularly at industry events, where he shares his perspectives on disruptive technologies.
Jimmy graduated from the University of New South Wales (Sydney, Australia) with a degree in Industrial Engineering. He majored in Operations Research, with a minor in Computer-Aided Manufacturing. He has attended executive programs at INSEAD/CIEBS and Boston University.
JJ Tan
JJ Tan is Talend's Regional Director for Asia. JJ is responsible for driving Asia business development and growth. With over 20-year experience in the IT industry, JJ has been instrumental in working with many Asia enterprises, including top regional and global institutions, in transforming their data-driven agendas into reality. Prior to joining Talend, JJ held key regional roles at SAS, IBM and SAP.
Joe Ong
Joe Ong is the Vice President and General Manager, ASEAN at Hitachi Vantara. Based in Singapore, he provides overall leadership and guidance on business direction, including go-to-market strategies for the ASEAN region.
Joe Ong possesses close to three decades of experience in the IT industry, a substantial number of those years in the storage solutions business. In the first 31⁄2 years at Hitachi Data Systems, Joe grew the local business in Singapore by 67%, bringing it from Top 6th player in the storage market to 3rd position. He continued to scale the ASEAN business, becoming the top revenue producer in the Asia-Pacific region by 2016. Having built up a strong selling engine, Joe led the ASEAN team to win the Top Region Award for growing the largest number of new customer accounts in 2019.
Prior to joining Hitachi Data Systems in 2012, he was the Country Manager for Singapore, Brunei at EMC, where he managed the Singapore team (Direct Sales and Channel team) and enabled EMC Singapore to maintain number one market share in Singapore for 4 years , according to IDC.
Joe graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems and Computer Science from the National University of Singapore. Outside of work, he enjoys a good round of golf. He is also an avid reader, diving into business, economics and strategic management.
