DBS Bank teams up with Cohen & Steers for new fund

The US firm aims to strengthen its presence in Asia through its new Singapore office.

DBS Bank has partnered with US investment firm Cohen & Steers to offer the Cohen & Steers Diversified Real Assets Fund, giving its clients access to asset strategy aimed at delivering inflation protection and steady returns.

The fund invests across global real estate, natural resources, listed infrastructure, and commodities to help investors build more resilient portfolios amidst rising inflation and market volatility.

Hou Wey Fook, Chief Investment Officer at DBS, said real assets play a key role in portfolios as governments pursue both monetary and fiscal easing.

Sean Wong, Head of Product Management, Managed Solutions at DBS, said the actively managed strategy provides diversification benefits beyond traditional equity-bond portfolios.

Cohen & Steers’ Vince Childers said combining the four asset classes creates a more balanced approach to managing risk and inflation, whilst David Conway added that the partnership strengthens the firm’s presence in Asia through its new Singapore office.
