Citi names JianXun Toh as JANA head of corporate banking

Citi is in the process of identifying a new head of T&C, it said.

Citi has appointed JianXun Toh as head of corporate banking for Japan, Asia North, and Australia (JANA), effective immediately.

Toh was most recently head of technology & communications (T&C), corporate banking for JANA and Asia South, where he oversaw Citi’s coverage of T&C clients in the region.

In his new role, Toh is tasked with leading the delivery of Citi’s services to local corporates, financial institutions, the public sector, and multinational subsidiaries.

He is also accountable for “maintaining and strengthening a robust risk and controls culture” in the JANA corporate banking business.

Citi has yet to appoint a new head of T&C.

“We will begin the process of identifying a successor to ensure continued leadership and focus for the Technology & Communications franchise,” Citi corporate banking co-heads Marcelo Marangon and Kaleem Rizvi, and JANA cluster & banking head Marc Luet, said in a joint statement.
