
CBA names Belinda Allen as new head of Australian Economics
Allen is tasked with the bank’s Australian economic forecasts, amongst others.
Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) has appointed Belinda Allen as its new head of Australian Economics.
Allen is tasked with the bank’s Australian economic forecasts, views on the Reserve Bank of Australia cash rate, whilst continuing to leverage CBA’s internal data assets to derive insights on the Australian economy, CBA said in the announcement on 25 August 2025.
Allen currently is senior economist within CBA’s global economic and markets research team. She first joined the bank in 2017.
Prior to joining CBA, Allen spent a decade at Colonial First State Global Asset Management (now First Sentier), where she was a senior analyst in the economic and market research team.
