Chee Li Har is COO Group ALCO at Hong Leong Bank

She will spearhead Hong Leong’s asset and liability management in the areas of liquidity, interest rate and capital management for Group ALCO (asset and liability management committee).

The bank said that in her new role, Chee will play an integral part in supporting continual trajectory growth and optimizing regulatory capital. It noted that Chee’s role will be paramount in supporting and managing the balance sheet position for HLBB footprint in the region.

Prior to this promotion, Chee was the regional head of asset and liabilities management for South East Asia at another international bank. She was involved with the management of the banking book non traded market risk positions, optimizing liquidity and maximizing market risk returns. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Malaya.
