Citi names Peter Yeung investment banking director

Yeung will be based in Hong Kong.

His hiring as a director in Citigroup’s investment banking team covering financial institutions is part of Citi’s Asia-Pacific expansion.

It also emphasizes Citi’s goal of becoming the leading FIG bank for its clients in the region. Yeung will report to Willard McLane who leads Citi's ASEAN Corporate and Investment Banking business and its Financial Institutions Group in Asia Pacific.

Yeung was previously head of the financial institutions group, excluding China, at Credit Suisse. He concentrated on Hong Kong-based financial institutions and the pan-Asian banking sector, excluding Korea and mainland China.
