Crédit Agricole CIB opens branch in India’s GIFT City

IFSC Banking Unit expands cross-border services.

Crédit Agricole CIB launched an IFSC Banking Unit (IBU) in Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City) last July 2025. The branch will provide banking services for local and foreign clients in India.

GIFT City hosts an International Financial Services Centre (IFSC) offering offshore and onshore financial services within a special economic zone. The branch will provide foreign currency-denominated products.

The bank said it will offer loans, project finance, trade and supply chain finance, with cash and liquidity management and non-deliverable forward products planned later.

Crédit Agricole CIB said it doubled registered business capital in 2024 to increase lending capacity. The bank also reinforced its Global Capacity Center in India and now operates six branches: Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, New Delhi, Pune, and GIFT City.
