Alipay links AI agent to 30 million Tap! devices

Merchant can talk to “Xiaoyu” and receive an analysis of their operations.

Alipay has connected its AI agent “Xiaoyu” to all Tap! Devices.

Alipay Tap! is the Chinese e-wallet’s contactless payment service and has 30 million Tap! devices on its network.

Merchants can now talk to “Xiaoyu” and receive an analysis of their operations as well as actionable insights for improvement, Alipay said.

Xiaoyu also offers product marketing and membership management services.

The AI agent can also be integrated with Taobao’s Instant Commerce network and can also be accessed by developers and independent software vendors to integrate SaaS agents and other business operation skills, Alipay said.

Alipay said that transactions processed through its AI Pay service surpassed 300 million as of May 2026.

Alipay also recently launched a major AI agent upgrade, Ah Bao.
