Hang Seng Bank appoints Nixon Chan as head of retail banking and wealth management

Donald Lam was also appointed as head of corporate and commercial banking.

According to a release, the appointments are effective from 7 September 2011.

Mr Nixon Chan joined Hang Seng in 2009 as Head of Corporate and Commercial Banking, with responsibility for Corporate, Commercial and Business Banking businesses. Prior to joining Hang Seng, Mr Chan has worked in HSBC for over 30 years, holding various senior retail and commercial banking positions.

Mr Chan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Administration from the University of Hawaii, USA.

Mr Donald Lam, Head of Commercial Banking, will succeed Mr Chan as Head of Corporate and Commercial Banking. Mr Lam joined Hang Seng in 2003 as a Department Head of Commercial Banking Relationship Management and was promoted to Head of Commercial Banking in 2009.

Before joining Hang Seng, Mr Lam held various senior commercial banking and corporate marketing positions and was the finance director of a listed company.

Mr Lam obtained his Bachelor of Social Science degree from The University of Hong Kong; and Master’s degrees in Business Administration, and Science (e-Commerce) from The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
