EFG Bank clinches three Citi bankers to bolster Hong Kong operations

Seamus Yin, Miao Miao, and Lianghan Chen all previously worked at Citi Private Bank.

Swiss-headquartered EFG Bank AG has named bolstered its wealth management operations in Hong Kong with a slew of new appointments.

Seamus Yin has been named Market Group Head for Hong Kong & China, Ultra Clients, effective 20 September.

Yin was previously managing director, Global Market Manager of Mainland China Offshore – South and West, at Citi Private Bank in Hong Kong. Yin has also worked at JP Morgan Private Bank in Hong Kong.

Separately, Miao Miao and Lianghan Chen have also been appointed as Team Heads and client relationship officers (CRO), respectively. Both will report to Yin. 

Miao Miao was previously a director and team head at Citi Private Bank.

Chen, meanwhile, was most recently director and team head at Citi Private Bank. He brings over 20 years of industry experience, including client relationship management, into the role. 

Prior to Citi, Chen held senior positions at JP Morgan Chase Private Bank in Hong Kong.

EFG Bank has also added three new CROs to its roster: Jack Wu, Ruby Chen and Savannah Sun. The three are described as “senior veterans” in the industry.
