Chart of the Week: More than 38% of global adult population to adopt mobile banking by 2018

That is equivalent to more than 2 billion people.

Latest data updates from Juniper Research forecasts that over 2 billion mobile users will have used their devices for banking purposes by the end of 2018, compared to 1.2 billion in 2015.

"Growth in mobile banking is being driven by consumer adoption of banking apps and is changing the way people manage their finances. Mobile banking users exceeded 1 billion for the first time in 2015. The forecast of 2 billion users in 2018 means that almost 38% of the global adult population will be mobile banking users by that time," says Juniper Research.
