Airwallex reports double-digit revenue, transaction growth for Q3

It expanded its startup and investment platforms in 2024.

Airwallex reported an 83% year-on-year (YoY) revenue growth in Q3, whilst transaction volume grew 49% in the APAC region.

Globally, Airwallex’s revenue is up 73% and global transaction volume expanded by 60%.

The Melbourne-founded payments platform had launched new products in several markets across APAC in 2024.

Airwallex for Startups expanded to Singapore, Australia, and New Zealand this year and has onboarded 2,000 startups. It offers networking events, mentorship, and products from Airwallex. The services first launched in Hong Kong in September 2023.

Airwallex Yield, its multicurrency investment platform, made its full launch in Australia in July. It is slated to launch in Hong Kong in early 2025.

The Airwallex team across APAC has grown by 160 employees in 2024. The company said that it now has over 1,600 employees across 23 offices globally.
