Alipay+ daily transactions up 70% in H2

Partner wallets saw daily transaction volumes increased three-fold.

Alipay+ saw daily transactions rise 70% in the last six months of 2023.

Total payment volume rose an estimated 30% during the same period compared to the first six months of 2023, the digital payments giant said in a press release.

Partner wallets saw payment volumes and daily transactions rise over three-fold during the same period, according to Alipay+. Total payment volume jumped 280% for partner digital wallets, whilst their daily transactions rose by 230%.

In terms of transaction volume in 2023, AlipayHK, Kakao Pay, Touch ‘n Go eWallet and GCash are amongst the top 4 most popular Alipay+ partner wallets used by cross-border travelers.

Since its launch in 2020, Alipay+ has expanded to connect over 88 million merchants in 57 markets to 1.5 billion payment accounts of over 25 digital wallets, banking apps and Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) apps.
