Alipay’s new payment system lets AI agents transact with businesses and OPCs

New tool enables agent-based transactions, following Alipay AI Pay rollout in 2025.

Alipay has launched an AI payment processing product that allows businesses, including One Person Companies (OPCs), to accept payments when AI agents transact on behalf of users, according to a company press statements.

The company said the product enables businesses to receive payments when autonomous AI agents purchase services, without requiring firms to build their own payment or settlement systems.

The service is available through Alipay’s platform and the launch follows the rollout of its consumer-facing product, Alipay AI Pay, in 2025.

According to Alipay, the new offering allows businesses to onboard monetisable services and receive payments each time an AI agent completes a transaction.

The product is positioned to support use cases where AI agents perform tasks such as booking travel, comparing prices, or purchasing digital services, said Alipay.

Bocha, an AI-powered search tool offering web search support for AI applications including DeepSeek, has already adopted Alipay’s AI payment processing product, said the company.

Alipay said Bocha’s service allows users to submit requests through AI agents, which then execute tasks and prompt users to confirm payment before delivering results.

The company added that Alipay AI Pay surpassed 100 million users in February 2026 and processed over 120 million transactions during the week of 5 to 11 February 2026.

Alipay said the consumer-facing payment product supports transactions through AI agents across applications, including retail platforms and AI-enabled devices.
