Ant launches agentic AI travel companion embedded in mobile wallets

The service is available in Alipay, AlipayHK, and GCash to start.

Ant International has launched the Alipay+ Voyager, an AI travel companion integrated into digital wallets aimed for the travel industry.

The service will reportedly assist travellers, via text or voice in their local language, in itinerary planning, booking, and purchasing in-merchant offerings, the Singapore-headquartered payments giant said in a press release.

Alipay+ Voyager makes use of agentic AI capabilities and cross-border travel services offered by OTA partners and 100 million global merchants in in the Alipay+ partner ecosystem.

The service will be launched first on Alipay (mainland China), AlipayHK, and GCash in the Philippines.

It will be rolled out to more Alipay+ payment partners throughout 2025.
