DBS, UnionPay unveil cashback and fee waivers for platinum debit cardholders

It aims to support growing economic exchanges between Singapore and China.

DBS has partnered with UnionPay International (UPI) to launch an 8% cashback and select 3% transaction fee waiver when spending in China using the DBS UnionPay platinum debit cardholders.

The program is “designed to support the growing economic and people-to-people exchanges between China and Singapore,” DBS and UnionPay said in a joint statement published 17 November 2025.

The promotion runs until 31 March 2026.

Cardholders can also access UnionPay’s Global Privileges program that offers a range of benefits including complimentary hotel upgrades, dining discounts, and leisure privileges.

DBS UnionPay platinum debit cards can be linked to Alipay or WeChat Pay to enjoy the 3% waiver on transaction fees for single transactions above RMB200.

Cardholders will also enjoy zero overseas ATM withdrawal fees, saving up to S$7 per transaction, it added.
