MobiFone Digital Payments launches in Vietnam

MobiFone Digital Payments (MDP) has officially launched in Vietnam.

MobiFone Digital Payments (MDP) has officially launched in Vietnam.

Officially licensed by the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV), MDP will provide intermediary payment services including financial switching, electronic clearing, payment gateway services, and collection and payment support.

MDP has over 20 member institutions as partners in Vietnam, it said in a press release on 31 March 2026.

Prior to its launch, MDP also signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the National Payment Corporation of Vietnam (NAPAS) to explore and implement interconnection models between the switching systems.

MDP said it will continue expand its partnerships with banks, technology firms, fintech companies, and ecosystem partners in Vietnam.
