Bangkok Bank can now offer custody services in Vietnam.

The bank obtained a license from the State Securities Commission of Vietnam (SSC) to offer custody services in the country, saying that it is the first and only Thai bank allowed to offer full custody services in Ho Chi Minh and Hano stock exchanges.

Services include receipt-delivery and settlement and clearing of securities transactions, safekeeping, and ensuring benefits are included in funds’ assets.

The service will support institutional investors, securities companies, and fund management companies, both Thai and foreign, to invest in the Vietnam stock market. Bangkok Bank said in a press release.
