Razer Fintech pilots initiative to support 14,000 Malaysian SMEs

#RazerForLife will waive MDR fees for new SMEs until 31 December.

Razer Fintech has launched #RazerForLife, an initiative to support 14,000 local businesses in Malaysia, according to a news release.

Aligned to the national #KitaJagaKita movement, #RazerForLife is a bid to drive customers to local businesses and towards a cashless Malaysia. The initiative is part of Razer’s commitment announced in April with a support fund of $50m for all its global markets.

New SMEs who will come onboard during the initiative period until 31 December will enjoy waived merchant discount rate (MDR fees), subject to terms and conditions. Razer Fintech aims to add another 50,000 touchpoints by the end of the year.

#RazerForLife will also grant Razer Pay users with one free surgical mask per month from July to November, and one free surgical mask per day with a minimum purchase of $2.33 (MYR10) using Razer Pay at any of the merchants included in its network. These masks can be redeemed at 7-Eleven outlets with Razer Pay in-app mask redemption coupons.
