HSBC unveils ETF platform solutions

The bank has collaborated with Calastone to develop an ETF order management system.

HSBC has introduced its exchange-traded fund (ETF) platform solutions, a comprehensive platform that offers asset servicing solutions to global ETF issuers.

This platform combines HSBC's Markets & Securities Services capabilities, including ETF order management, portfolio composition file (PCF) production, custom net asset value (ETF NAV) attribution analysis, authorised participant (AP) services such as ETF seeding, fair value algorithms for ETFs, swap provision, dedicated execution services under FX4ETFs, and HSBC FX Overlay Services.

In collaboration with Calastone, HSBC has also developed a next-generation ETF Order Management system.

Utilising Calastone's cloud-based distributed market infrastructure, this system enables real-time processing and monitoring capabilities for ETF issuers throughout the ETF creation and redemption process.

From placing orders to settlement, HSBC's digital data integration interfaces offer live analytics to ETF issuers and authorized participants as orders are executed.

HSBC's Securities Services business, a prominent administrator and custodian in the European and Asian ETF industry, will deploy the new ETF Order Management system for its global ETF client base. This includes ETF issuers domiciled in various regions, such as Ireland, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Australia.
