HSBC China's capital replenished by CNY2.8B

HSBC Bank China's capital 's parent company, the HSBC Limited, has replenished its capital with 2.8 billion yuan or US$442 million U.S. dollars.

This increased the registered capital of HSBC China to 10.8 billion yuan and made it the biggest foreign bank in terms of registered capital in the Chinese mainland.

This is the first capital replenishment with the Chinese currency by a foreign bank in China since the country launched pilot projects for such practices in August this year.
