Malaysia's budget expected to give emphasis on banking

The Association of Islamic Banking Institutions Malaysia expects the upcoming Budget 2013 to give special emphasis on consumers.

Its President Datuk Mohd Redza Shah Abdul Wahid said the upcoming budget would have a clear emphasis on key areas of the industry, particularly the Islamic banking industry.

"The government is very keen to continue to promote Islamic banking, I think there will be some incentive packages," he said.
