KakaoBank modernises data management system

The mobile-only bank targets to modernise its data management system.

South Korean mobile bank, KakaoBank, has tapped Denodo to update its data analytics platform.

Denodo, in collaboration with its local partner Planit Partners, supplied KakaoBank in South Korea with the Denodo Platform. 

This platform utilises data virtualisation that offers comprehensive features for constructing a data fabric, including real-time data integration, management, and distribution. Through data virtualisation, which logically unifies different data sources.

Denodo said the platform not only fulfills the latest data analysis needs by providing up-to-date data but also establishes a centralised environment for data security and governance, enabling fine-grained control.

"We expect to be able to analyse data more efficiently through the data virtualisation technology of the Denodo Platform," said a stakeholder in the Modern Data Platform team at KakaoBank.
