Its banking subsidiary partnered with AI R&D company Sakana AI.
MUFG has made an investment in a sustainability reporting company and entered into a partnership with an AI firm.
The Japanese megabank invested in the seed round of Greenprint Technologies Pte. Ltd., which operates a digital platform for sustainability reporting and data.
Established in October 2023, Gprnt is an entity created to propel PJ Greenprint, a project by the Singaporean central bank to facilitate Singapore’s national level sustainability reporting and data requirements.
MUFG and its subsidiary MUFG Bank have also entered into a partnership agreement with AI research and development company Sakana AI K.K.
MUFG Bank will leverage Sakana AI’s technologies to automate the creation of internal and external documents that “require complex thinking and advanced specialized knowledge," the bank said in a press release.
MUFG Bank and Sakana AI will establish a long term strategic technology partnership for a period of more than three years.
