Taiwanese domestic banks’ SME loans up NT$52.5b in March

Average NPL ratio fell during the month.

Taiwanese domestic banks’ loans to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) amounted to $349.39b (NT$10.45t) by end April 2025, according to data from the Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC) of Taiwan.

The amount is $1.76b (NT$52.5b) higher than in end-March 2025.

As of end-April 2025, loans extended to SMes by domestic banks accounted for 64.44% and 68.12% of total loans extended to all enterprises and private enterprises, respectively.

The average NPL ratio of SME loans were 0.24%, and the ratio is 0.01 percentage points lower compared to end-March.
