
UOB, Frasers Thailand to support investments in Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia
UOB Thailand will offer financial solutions to business expanding in the three countries.
UOB Thailand has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Frasers Property Industrial Thailand with the goal of identifying and supporting foreign direct inflows (FDIs) into Thailand, Vietnam, and Indonesia.
The two companies aim to jointly support industrial investment, trade promotion, and financial facilitation for businesses expanding in the three countries, according to the press release.
UOB Thailand will offer financial solutions, including regulatory advisory, project financing, trade facilities, and treasury services.
Frasers Property Industrial Thailand, the industrial business of Frasers Property (Thailand) Public Company Limited (FPT), will offer general support for businesses investment in the industrial space, such as guidance on local policies, regulations, and potential investment opportunities.
FPT’s industrial business currently operates over 3.48 million square meters of industrial facilities in Thailand, and houses 946 factories and warehouses nationwide, the statement said.
In Vietnam and Indonesia, FPT holds 140,000 square meters and 150,000 square meters of industrial space, respectively.
FDI inflows into Southeast Asia grew to $225b in 2024, a $20b increase from 2023, according to data from UNCTAD’s World Investment Report 2025.
