Thailand’s SCB enforces SIM name match requirement

Customers can still make transactions as usual on ATMs and branches.

Siam Commercial Bank (SCB) said that customers who have not updated their SIM owner to match with their SCB Easy App account name, or who have not submitted an exemption request, will not be able to use the app beginning 14 July 2025 onwards.

Customer will be able to continue making transactions as usual on ATMs, CDM, or any of the branches.

To cancel their suspension, customers need to prepare an identity document and proof of mobile phone number ownership. The latter may be the ownership confirmation letter; response message from USSD system; or SMS from the mobile network service provider; receipt; or invoice.

Customers who wish to avail of an exemption may submit documents at any of SCB’s branches.
