Banking Circle S.A. acquires Australian Settlements Limited

Banking Circle offers instant payment technology to payment companies and banks.

Banking Circle S.A. has completed the acquisition of Australian Settlements Limited (ASL), a licensed authorised deposit taking institution in Australia (ADI).

Australia’s domestic and global financial institutions will have access to domestic payment schemes including NPP, BECS, PayID, PayTo, and BPay.

They will also have access to Banking Circle’s multi-currency accounts, FX services, and global clearing network services.

“We’re seeing strong demand from both Australian financial institutions looking to partner with a specialist payments bank to process their domestic and global payments; as well as Australian companies looking to scale globally for a payments bank overseas,” said Mishal Ruparel, CCO of Banking Circle.

Banking Circle S.A. is a Luxembourg-headquartered credit institution offering instant payment technology to payment companies and banks.

It established its Australian presence in 2023, operating through BC Payments Australia, which holds an Australian Financial Services License.
