
Citi expands JANA and Asia South teams with new senior hires
In-house banker Adrian Khoo has been named co-head of DCM for JANA and Asia South.
Citi is growing its Japan, Asia North, and Australia (JANA) and Asia South clusters with new appointments.
Vikram Chavali joins as managing director, head of global asset managers (GAM) for JANA and Asia South.
GAM is Citi’s coverage group for asset managers including areas like sponsors and pension funds, amongst others.
Chavali joins from Goldman Sachs, where he was head of Asia ex-Japan Sponsors M&A. He will be based in Hong Kong when he joins Citi later in 2025.
Deepak Dangayach, Adrian Khoo as co-head of DCM
Separately, Citi has also appointed Deepak Dangayach as managing director and co-head of debt capital markets for JANA and Asia South.
Dangayach will also join Citi later this year, and like Chavali, will be based in Hong Kong. He was most recently head of sponsor financing for APAC at Deutsche Bank.
Adrian Khoo, who is currently head of bonds DCM teams for the Asia clusters in Citi, will expand his role to be co-head of DCM for JANA and Asia South alongside Dangayach.
