Thailand’s Krungsri names new two new senior executives
Duangdao Wongpanitkrit and Hiroshi Kurihara took over their new roles last 1 January.
Krungsri (Bank of Ayudhya PCL) has appointed a new chief finance and strategy officer (CFSO) and chief transformation officer.
Duangdao Wongpanitkrit has been named CFSO, effective 1 January 2026. She brings over 35 years of leadership experience in her new role. She currently serves as MUFG executive officer.
In her new role, Wongpanitkrit is tasked with co-developing the group’s strategic plan and direction.
Krungsri said she is instrumental to the bank’s sustainable growth over the past 18 years, especially in expanding the bank’s domestic and international operations.
Her leadership also helped the bank to become one of Thailand’s Domestic Systematically Important Banks (D-SIBs), according to Krungsri.
Hiroshi Kurihara, meanwhile, has been appointed as head of the corporate strategy and planning group, and chief transformation officer. He has over 26 years of experience working in the banking industry and the government sector in Japan, the USA, and the Netherlands.
He previously served as managing director, head of Japanese corporate banking division for EMEA, at MUFG Bank (Europe NV) in the Netherlands. In June 2025, he was appointed as deputy chief strategy officer and chief transformation officer.
Kurihara is tasked with planning and managing the goals and operation plan of Krungsri’s corporate business plan, medium-term business plan, and long-term business plan.
