Alipay’s agentic-powered AI Pay exceeds 120 million transactions

AI Pay is being used by Luckin Coffee and Rokid, amongst others.

Alipay’s AI Pay has exceeded 120 million transactions in the past week.

AI Pay is a payment solution that enables payment through AI agents, launched in 2025. It has been used in apps and mini programs of brick-and-mortar retailers like Luckin Coffee, as well as in AI smart glasses like Rokid.

“As digital services evolve in this AI era, Chinese consumers are developing new expectations for convenient and intelligent payment methods,” Alipay said in a press release on 13 February 2026.

In December 2025, Alipay worked with Rokid to integrate AI payment into the AI agents that Rokid’s developers build on the Lingzhu platform.

The following month, Alipay launched the Agentic Commerce Trust Protocol with its partners, including Alibaba’s Qwen App and Taobao Instant Commerce.
