StanChart taps Deutsche Bank veteran as it unifies two CIB services
Ole Matthiessen will lead the unified global transaction services and digital assets team.
Standard Chartered has hired Ole Matthiessen to lead its new global transactions services and digital assets team for its Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) business.
Matthiessen will lead the newly unified team under CIB, comprising transaction banking, which involves trade, payments, and cash management, as well as financing & securities services, which involves custody, clearing, and settlement.
Matthiessen joins from Deutsche Bank, where he worked for 18 years and was most-recently co-head of the corporate banking division and a member of its group management committee.
He previously served as global head of cash management and head of corporate banking for Asia Pacific in Deutsche Bank.
Matthiessen will join the CIB Management team. He will be based in Singapore, and reports to Standard Chartered’s CIB CEO, Roberto Hoornweg.
