Norinchukin swings to $758.8m profit in FY2025
It expects to earn between $312m to $625m in FY2026.
Norinchukin Bank is back in the black, earning $758.82m (JPY121.4b) in the fiscal year that ended on 31 March 2026, its financial results showed.
This is higher than its FY2025 profit outlook of $187.5m to $437.5m (JPY30b to JPY70b).
The Japanese bank said that it will continue to establish a robust profitability base in FY2026, but “maintained expectations” at $312.5m to $625.1m (JPY50b to JPY100b) given increased uncertainty in the economy and inflation related to the Middle East.
For FY2025, its common equity tier 1 (CET1) ratio is 17.81%.
Ordinary income is JPY2.27t, whilst interest income is $11.24b (JPY1.8t).
Total assets were generally unchanged from March 2025, at $523.8b (JPY83.8t), an increase of around $1.88b (JPY300b).
