UOB appoints Adaline Zheng as China CEO
South Korea country manager George Tung will take over as Hong Kong branch CEO.
UOB has announced a major reshuffle in its China and Hong Kong branch leadership.
Adaline Zheng, current chief executive officer (CEO) of the UOB Hong Kong Branch, has been appointed as the new CEO of UOB China Limited.
George Tung, the country manager in South Korea, will take over as CEO of the UOB Hong Kong Branch.
Both appointments take effect beginning 1 July 2026.
Zheng takes over from Peter Foo, who retires from UOB after 15 years.
Zheng has over 20 years of banking experience across mainland China and Hong Kong. She joined UOB China in 2018 as head of wholesale banking and was appointed CEO of UOB Hong Kong in March 2024.
UOB China is a wholly owned subsidiary of UOB. It is headquartered in Shanghai.
Tung, meanwhile, brings three decades of experience in the banking sector. He first joined UOB in 2010 and led the Hong Kong branch’s wholesale business for a decade before becoming South Korea country manager in 2021.
