BSP warns public that 'Bank of Humanity' is unlicensed and unregulated
The so-called Bank of Humanity is also not registered with the SEC.
The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) said that an entity operating under the name “The Bank of Humanity” is not licensed by the central bank.
The entity, Bangko Maharlika Ltd., is not licensed, authorised, regulated, or supervised by the BSP.
It is also not registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the central bank said.
The Philippine central bank advised the public to exercise caution when dealing with The Bank of Humanity.
“The BSP reminds the public to verify the legitimacy and regulatory status of entities offering financial products, services, or investment opportunities before engaging in any transaction,” it said in a statement on 28 July 2026.
“Individuals dealing with unlicensed and unregulated entities may not be afforded the protections provided under laws and regulations governing BSP-supervised institutions,” it added.
