Mastercard partners to launch cyber shield for SMEs and public sector
Partnership merges Recorded Future with WAF to guard against Shadow IT threats.
Mastercard Incorporated (Mastercard) and Cloudflare, Inc. (Cloudflare) announced a partnership to provide cyber defence solutions for small businesses, critical infrastructure, and government organisations, according to a press statement on 20 February, 2026.
The collaboration combines Mastercard’s Recorded Future and RiskRecon attack surface monitoring capabilities with Cloudflare’s Application Security portfolio.
The integrated solution allows organisations to discover unprotected domains and software stacks, gain real-time views of their cyber posture through graded security ratings, and implement automated protections such as web application firewalls and encryption.
Findings are presented in Cloudflare’s Security Insights dashboard, prioritised by asset criticality.
“Small businesses account for about half of the world’s GDP. Our collaboration with Cloudflare strengthens the digital ecosystem, enabling businesses to focus on productivity and growth,” said Johan Gerber, Global Head of Security Solutions at Mastercard.
“Small businesses, critical infrastructure, and governments are strategic targets for cyberattacks but often lack the resources to defend themselves,” added Stephanie Cohen, Chief Strategy Officer at Cloudflare.
“This partnership brings together the best in cyber defence so these organisations can protect themselves effectively,” she said.
