Prudential partners with CIMB Thai for bancassurance venture

The partnership grants Prudential access to CIMB Thai’s customer base and branch network in Thailand.

Prudential, through its subsidiary Prudential Life Assurance Thailand (PLT) has entered into a 10-year bancassurance collaboration with CIMB Thai Bank.

This partnership makes PLT an exclusive life insurance partner for the bank. The move aligns with Prudential's multi-market growth strategy and aims to enhance the company's presence in the important ASEAN market, particularly in Thailand.

CIMB Thai, part of CIMB Group Holdings Berhad, provides Prudential access to its customer base and branch network in Thailand. 

Prudential said in a press statement the partnership is expected to contribute to the growth plans of PLT, already the third-largest bancassurance player in the Thai market.
