Citi appoints new sales head for key Asian markets

She previously worked at Bank of America and JPMorgan.

Citi has appointed Cécile Gambardella as the head of sales, markets for Japan, Asia North & Australia and Asia South beginning today.

Gambardella will lead the development and growth of relationships across Citi’s Markets franchise in the region.

Headquartered in Hong Kong, Gambardella will report to Paul Smith, the head of markets for Japan, Asia North & Australia and Asia South.

She joined Citi in 2022 and was most recently head of markets for France & BeNeLux, where she provided regional leadership across various customer segments, including investors, corporates, and public sector clients. 

Before joining Citi, Gambardella worked at Bank of America and JPMorgan in local and G10 markets roles.
