Citi sets up an Infrastructure Financing & Capital Solutions Group
The new group is under the Debt Capital Markets (DCM) function of Citi.
Citi has established an Infrastructure Financing & Capital Solutions Group (IFCS).
IFCS is a “product-agnostic infrastructure focused structuring, placement, and lending group” within its Debt Capital Markets (DCM) function, the bank said in a statement.
IFCS is expected to provide customised solutions to Citi’s global clients.
“Macro trends and technological innovations are expanding capital requirements with the acceleration of investments in energy, transportation, digital & AI ecosystems, and other critical infrastructure,” Citi Communications said.
Eric Farina and Rob Cascarino have been named co-heads of the new group.
Farina has over two decades of experience across infrastructure finance, and most recently served as head of infrastructure finance within private capital markets at Morgan Stanley.
Cascarino, who is co-head of DCM for the UK, Europe, Middle East, & Africa, expands his role to become Farina’s partner in leading IFCS globally.
Farina and Cascarino report to the DCM heads, John McCauley and Chris Munro. They are expected to work closely with all capital markets groups.
