Deutsche Bank raises $200m via second green foreign currency bond in Taiwan

Proceeds will be used to fund eligible green assets.

Deutsche Bank has successfully raised $200m in Taiwan via a second green Formosa bond.

This is the bank’s second green bond released in the Formosa format. Formosa bonds refer to foreign currency bonds issued in Taiwan.

The bank believes that the green format and long tenor of the bond, as well as their recent ratings upgrade by Fitch contributed to the demand.

Proceeds will be used to fund eligible green assets, including the development of renewable energy and energy technology and the improvement of energy efficiency and conservation.
