Maybank Investment Bank COO Tengku Ariff Azhar Tengku Mohamad named OIC

This is until a new CEO is appointed.

Tengku Ariff Azhar Tengku Mohamad has been appointed officer-in-charge of Maybank Investment Bank Berhand (MIBB).

This comes after its CEO Dato’ Fad’l Mohamad resigned.

Tengku Ariff, who is also COO of MIBB, will take on the day-to-day management of MIBB in addition to his COO duties until a new CEO is appointed.

Maybank Group CEO of Global Banking Dato’ Muzaffar Hisham thanked Dato’ Fad’l for his contributions to the bank over a span of nine years.

“He has played a pivotal role in steering the growth of our investment banking franchise in Malaysia, winning deals and accolades, and supporting the achievement of Maybank’s M25+ strategic priorities. We wish him well in his new undertakings,” he said.
