Nomura Securities is establishing a Sustainable Innovation Investment Scheme.

The investment framework targets companies seeking to commercialize and scale operations leveraging advanced technologies in the environment, energy, decarbonization, health and education fields, the Japanese bank said in a statement.

The bank will provide financial advice and financial services to support these companies’ transition and innovation.

Nomura will also invest its own capital in unlisted companies tackling social issues with a long-term perspective, as well as projects aimed at creating innovations across the entire value chain.
