SMBC Malaysia nabs StanChart banker as head of corporate banking
Wendy Ooi will lead SMBC Malaysia’s non-Japanese corporate banking strategy.
Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation Malaysia Berhad (SMBC Malaysia) has named Wendy Ooi as head of its corporate banking department.
Ooi will lead SMBC Malaysia’s non-Japanese corporate banking strategy in Malaysia.
She brings two decades of experience in the corporate and investment banking field.
She joins from Standard Chartered, where she was most recently head of the Malaysian corporate, commercial, and institutional banking business.
Ooi had also previously worked at RHB Bank and The Royal Bank of Scotland.
