Westpac rolls out Book a Banker tool for home loan appointments
It will be expanded to St.George, BankSA, and Bank of Melbourne in the coming months.
Westpac has launched Book a Banker, a new tool letting customers book a home loan appointment with a banker.
The appointment can be through a phone call, a video chat, an in-branch meeting, or even a catch-up at a local cafe on a weekend, the Australian bank said in a February 2026 announcement.
Customers still have the option to call Westpac or walk into a branch, said James Huttong, managing director of mortgages, Westpac.
Westpac said that appointments are confirmed instantly, and that the tool integrates directly with bankers’ calendars.
The new tool is said to be especially popular with Westpac’s regional customers, based on the pilot. Online booking drove a 45% increase in virtual appointments amongst customers living in rural areas.
The Book a Banker tool will be expanded to St.George, BankSA and Bank of Melbourne customers in coming months, Westpac said.
To mark the Australia-wide roll-out, Westpac announced that users of the new service have a chance to win a State of Origin experience.
